Wrinkle reduction treatments at Lúum are customised for every face and tailored to your specific needs. Depending on your muscle strength, wrinkle pattern, asymmetries, skin quality and desired outcome, wrinkle reduction treatments are prescribed to your exact needs.

These treatments aside from improving fine lines can also be utilised in teeth grinding/clenching (bruxism), improving chronic migraines, slimming the face, reducing excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis) and even help reduce the symptoms of hayfever. Wrinkle reduction injections can also be used to achieve a natural looking brow lift. 

  • As every face is individual a 1:1 consultation is required to ensure you are a suitable candidate. A personalised quote will be given during consultation should you wish to proceed treatment can be carried out during this appointment.

  • Anti-wrinkle injections are an intramuscular injection to temporarily relax muscle contraction for a period of time. This prevents the skin from folding, creasing and causing dynamic lines and wrinkles on the skin.

  • Anti-wrinkle injections are minimally invasive, with minimal downtime. The treatment itself only takes a few minutes and most clients are able to resume their day as normal after treatment. Results can be seen 10-14 days post treatment.

  • Anti-wrinkle injections generally last 3-4 months on most patients. There are multiple lifestyle factors which may affect this, however your clinician will be able to guide you through any questions you may have in regards to longevity.

  • The injection may sting for a short while and in some cases can cause some temporary localised reactions. While every precaution will be taken to prevent any complication, and that complications from this procedure are rare, they can and sometimes do occur. These include but are not limited to;
    • Localised pain, redness and swelling at the injection site
    • Skin tightness and/ or tingling sensation at injection site
    • Itchy or aching forehead
    • Headaches (for up to 3-4 days post treatment)
    • Bruising
    • Localised numbness (rare)
    • Local muscle weakness in surrounding areas (Drooping of eyebrow, eyelid, mouth) (rare)
    • Lower eyelid bagginess (rare)

  • At Luum aesthetics we pride ourselves on delivering natural looking results. Some clients prefer no movement, and we totally understand this. We also understand that most clients want to look fresh faced without looking ‘overdone.’ We generally like to treat conservatively for the first time, until we are able to fine tune and tweak dosing to achieve a perfect balance of natural results with great longevity. After your first treatment, we always encourage a 2 week follow up appointment so we can check your results and perfect or tweak them if needed.
