Skin treatment
Hollywood Spectra Laser
The Hollywood Spectra Laser is a type of laser skin treatment used primarily for pigmentation, skin rejuvenation and treating various skin concerns. It utilises a Q-switched Nd: YAG laser technology, which emits short bursts of high-energy light to target specific pigments and cells in the skin.
This advanced laser offers a wide range of treatment options such as Hollywood Laser Peel & Multi Depth Focus Treatments (MDF) which targets the following:
Pigmentation (melasma)
Signs of ageing (fine lines) (MDF)
Improves pores and skin texture (MDF)
Improve acne scars (MDF)
Reduce sebum production & acne causing bacteria (Hollywood Laser Peel)
Safe and Customisable Laser Treatment for Pigmentation
Beyond skin tone and texture improvement, Hollywood Spectra also offers advantages in safety for various skin types. Because it employs a Q-switched Nd:YAG platform, the laser skin treatment can be precisely tuned to target pigment and stimulate collagen without undue damage to surrounding tissue. This makes it a versatile choice even for more sensitive or pigmented skin, when delivered by experienced clinicians. At Lúum, we tailor each session’s settings to your unique skin characteristics to maximise benefit, giving your skin exactly what it needs.
Progressive, Long-Lasting Results
In your journey with Spectra, you’ll also benefit from progressive improvements over time rather than one dramatic change. While some clients notice a glow even after the first laser skin treatment, optimal results are achieved through a series of sessions. During each treatment, mild heat and controlled injury stimulate collagen remodelling, which continues in the weeks afterwards, gradually refining pores, softening fine lines, and evening skin tone. Our team will guide you on the ideal cadence and aftercare to support your skin’s healing and sustained results.

FAQs
Hollywood Laser Peel
-
A layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin's surface. This carbon solution penetrates deep into the pores, where it absorbs oil, dirt, and other impurities.
Once the carbon solution has dried, the laser is used to heat and gently exfoliate the skin. The laser energy is attracted to the carbon particles, causing them to vaporize along with the targeted impurities.
As the laser passes over the skin, it also stimulates collagen production, which helps improve skin texture and firmness over time. The carbon particles bind to excess sebum, dead skin cells, and impurities, which are which vaporised by the laser, unclogging pores. The thermal energy also stimulates collagen, minimises enlarged pores, and helps control sebum production for a long-term reduction in breakouts. -

The Hollywood Spectra Laser treatment for pigmentation is relatively quick and painless, with minimal downtime.
Patients may experience some mild redness or warmth immediately following the procedure, but this typically subsides within a few hours.
FAQs
Multi Depth Focus (MDF) Treatment
-
Multi-Depth Focus Treatment is a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation using the Hollywood Spectra Laser. This treatment combines multiple laser modalities to target various layers of the skin and address a wide range of skin concerns effectively.
-
Superficial Skin Rejuvenation: The Spectra Laser is used to gently exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells and promoting a smoother, more radiant complexion. This helps improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.
Pigmentation Correction: The laser energy targets excess melanin in the skin, which can lead to pigmentation irregularities such as sunspots, age spots, and melasma. By breaking down melanin deposits, the treatment helps reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and achieve a more even skin tone.
Collagen Stimulation: The Spectra Laser stimulates collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin, helping to firm and tighten the skin over time. This can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
Acne Treatment: The laser energy targets the bacteria responsible for acne breakouts, as well as reduces oil production in the skin. This helps to clear existing acne lesions and prevent future breakouts, leading to clearer, healthier skin.
